A monumental brutalist style brass repousse planter pot or wastebasket made by Italian designer Egidio Casagrande (1911-1962). Casagrande is renown for his work as a master craftsman who worked on the metal designs and armors for classic Hollywood movies like 'Ben Hur' and 'The Ten Commandments'. This piece is in wonderful vintage condition with a beautiful patina, minor rust on inside of pot. Embossed mark on the bottom: 'Casagrande Forge Trento, Italy' and numbered '1228'
